Support Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) in the 2022 City2Surf

What better way to celebrate the return of The Sun-Herald City2Surf, than to fundraise for CHeBA and help change the future of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Funding is desperately required to advance our research in ways to prevent cognitive decline, improve cognitive functioning as we age, devise better care for people with dementia and to diagnose people at risk for dementia. The researchers are also working on developing markers of early decline in memory and other cognitive functioning, so that brain diseases can be detected before the manifestation of dementia.

The future of ageing will be greatly impacted by the outcomes of the research undertaken at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA). Our mission is to stay at the forefront of research into brain ageing and neurocognitive disorders. Ultimately, CHeBA’s goal is for all people to achieve their full life span and enjoy a good quality of life unaffected by loss of cognitive ability.

Ready to start fundraising? Sign up today! All members of Team CHeBA who reach $250 in fundraising will receive a free running singlet to promote their charity of choice in the City2Surf.

Every dollar raised for CHeBA will support priority research projects to promote healthy brain ageing, to delay or prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
